Carraig Abhainn Counselling and Psychotherapy - Listening Support New Perspectives
Process Work
Process Work, or Process Oriented Psychology, is an approach to counselling and psychotherapy, which aims to attentively follow the
                                                                             inner flow of experience.
Process Work trains our
                                    awareness
so that we can notice and unfold our unique experiences.  We all have a natural tendency to marginalise
some aspects of our experience.  We ignore part of our whole selves
which can lead to unhappiness and dissatisfaction. In a world in which we can become divided from our deepest selves Process Work aims to help us live our “path of heart”. (Arnold Mindell 1993)

Key aspects of approach I use

  • Sees problems as normal part of life, even as useful, and not as an indicator of personal weakness or failure
  • Follows each person’s unique experience, rather than applying pre-conceived ideas as to what works for what issue
